Description
A continuous fryer machine (or auto frying line) is industrial equipment designed for high-capacity, automated frying of food products such as potato chips, french fries, extruded snacks, fried chicken, plantain chips, and coated proteins.
Unlike batch fryers, product moves through a heated oil bath on a continuous mesh conveyor system. This ensures uniform dwell time, precise oil temperature regulation, and consistent product color, crispness, and oil absorption.
How an Automated Continuous Frying Line Works
-
Infeed & Submersion: Product enters via an infeed conveyor. A double-belt system (bottom transport belt + top hold-down belt) keeps buoyant foods submerged under oil during the frying cycle.
-
Temperature Management: Thermal oil, direct gas burners, or electric immersion elements maintain precise oil temperatures along multiple heating zones.
-
Sediment & Scraping System: Heavy particles settle into a cold-oil zone or are continuously swept away by a longitudinal sediment scraper to prevent oil breakdown and black specks.
-
Oil Filtration: Oil continuously circulates through an external paper or wire-mesh filter to extend oil life and maintain food quality.
-
De-Oiling & Outfeed: Fried product exits onto a vibratory or air-knife de-oiling conveyor to strip excess surface oil before cooling/seasoning.
