Corn Cobs Hammer Mill

Working Principle

The Corn Cob Hammer Mill operates using a high-speed rotor assembly fitted with multiple hammer blades (6mm thick × 50mm wide × 150mm long) mounted across four shafts.
The rotor crushes and pulverizes materials fed through the hopper against a perforated mesh screen located beneath the rotor chamber. The finished powdered material is discharged through mesh holes (6–12 mm size, depending on requirement).

This process ensures uniform particle size reduction while maintaining efficient throughput.

Corn Cobs Hammer Mill – Powder Making Machine

The Corn Cobs Hammer Mill – Powder Making Machine by Kosmo Engineering is a high-performance industrial crusher designed for efficient crushing and grinding of dry organic materials such as corn cobs, wood waste, vegetable waste, and agricultural residues.

Manufactured with a robust mild steel (MS) structure and equipped with a multi-blade hammering rotor, this machine converts solid organic materials into fine powder, suitable for fertilizer production, biomass processing, and industrial recycling applications.

Its durable design, balanced rotor system, and VFD-controlled operation make it an ideal choice for continuous production environments that demand both

Description

Corn Cobs Hammer Mill Powdering Machine :

A corn cob hammer mill / raymond mill (or maize cob crusher) is size-reduction equipment designed to pulverize whole corn cobs, agricultural residue, and grains into coarse meal or fine powder.

Because dry corn cobs are dense, fibrous, and tough, these hammer mills feature heavy-duty carbon steel hammers, high-torque rotors, and reinforced grinding chambers to withstand high impact forces without excessive wear.

Working Principle :

  1. Feeding: Whole or pre-shredded dry corn cobs enter the grinding chamber through a gravity-fed or forced-feed hopper.

  2. High-Velocity Impact: A central rotor equipped with hardened, free-swinging steel hammers spins at high speeds (typically 2,800 to 3,600 RPM). The hammers repeatedly strike the cobs, shattering them against breaker plates lining the chamber walls.

  3. Screen Classification: As the material is pulverized, a curved perforated screen plate (ranging from 1.5 mm to 12 mm depending on target output) holds back oversized pieces.

  4. Discharge & Dust Collection: Particles ground finer than the screen mesh openings pass through and are either discharged by gravity or drawn out via a fan blower into a cyclone collector.
