A Rotary Drum Sifter Trommel Screener (also known as a trommel screen or rotary drum screen) is key screening equipment used in compound, organic, and NPK fertilizer manufacturing lines. It classifies granulated or powdered fertilizer materials into precise size fractions while separating oversized lumps and undersized fines.
How It Works in a Fertilizer Line :

Continuous Feeding: Granulated fertilizer enters the elevated end of the rotating drum from a granulator, dryer, or cooler.

Tumbling & Separation: As the drum rotates, internal lifters tumble the fertilizer. Material smaller than the screen mesh passes through into a collection hopper (finished product).

Multi-Stage Classification: Dual-screen or segmented drums can separate material into three fractions simultaneously:

Fines (Undersized): Sent back to the granulator/mixer as recycle material.

Target Granules (Finished Product): Sent to the anti-caking/coating drum and bagging line.
