Raw materials such as corn flour and other ingredients are mixed uniformly in the mixer unit. The material is then transferred through the screw conveyor into the extrusion system where high temperature and pressure create expanded puff snacks.
After shaping, the products pass through the drying system to reduce moisture content. Flavoring and seasoning are then applied through the coating drum and oil spraying system before the snacks move through the cooling section for packaging preparation.

Description
Industrial Corn Puffs Snacks Production Line
: Fully Automated Extrusion Processing :
An industrial corn puffs snacks production line is a fully integrated, high-capacity manufacturing system that transforms raw cereal grits into crispy, seasoned puffed snacks (such as cheese balls, curls, rings, and filled pillows).
Step-by-Step Production Sequence
Manufacturing puffed snacks requires precise control over raw material blending, thermal expansion, moisture removal, and seasoning adhesion. The production line operates via a continuous sequence:
Corn flour, corn grits, water, and optional additives are thoroughly mixed. Uniform moisture distribution (typically around 15-20%) is critical before the mixture enters the extruder to ensure even expansion.
The mixed grits feed into the Twin-Screw Extruder. High mechanical shear, friction, and controlled induction heating gelatinize the starches under immense pressure.
Freshly extruded puffs carry too much moisture to be shelf-stable or crispy. They are continuously conveyed through a gas, electric,
Dried puffs enter a rotating coating drum.
A cooling conveyor drops the seasoned snack temperature to room level to prevent condensation.
